The world health community continues to monitor closely the emergence of COVID-19 (coronavirus). Given this uncertainty, and the fact that the seasonal influenza (flu) virus is also widespread, SMART LAW is taking proactive steps to address several business concerns. First and foremost, we want to maintain a safe workplace and encourage and/or adopt practices protecting the health of employees, customers and visitors.
SMART LAW employees have been reminded to do the following:
Stay home when sick
Wash hands frequently with warm, soapy water for at least 20 seconds
Cover your mouth with tissues whenever you sneeze, and discard used tissues in the trash
Avoid people who are sick with respiratory symptoms
Practice Social Distancing
Clean frequently touched surfaces
SMART LAW has provided alcohol-based hand sanitizers throughout the workplace and in common areas. Cleaning sprays and wipes are also provided to clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces such as telephones and keyboards.
Due to Smart Law’s commitment to keep clients, business partners, and employees safe, all in-person business meetings are suspended until further notice. Meetings will occur telephonically, and we will continue to correspond with staff and clients both telephonically and electronically during this time. Smart Law will continue to monitor the situation and provide guidance as more information on the extent and severity of the outbreak becomes available. Business continues and clients are being taken care of.
As always, Your Case is Our Cause.
